How to Enable Audi MMI Emergency Update Firmware 900

Later In the latest firmware versions (900 and later) the “Emergency Update” has been disabled, but using a script we can enable it again.

Note: The script only works with SD, it doesn’t work with USB. Remove all devices from the car (Others SD, USB…) to avoid errors.

  1. Download the “Enable Emergency Update” script and format your SD in FAT32.
  2. Copy the script’s files in the SD root Make sure that MMI is fully booted (press all buttons once RADIO CAR NAV MEDIA TEL).
  3. Wait until all options are ok (no options in gray) even when all options are ok wait a minute more. Is the moment for inserting the SD in slot 1

Don’t touch anything After a few seconds, a screen will pop up, press any key (we suggest the big knob) once Wait and don’t touch anything,

After some seconds/minutes, the script will finish and another screen will appear to Remove the SD before doing anything
