(How to setup JET) Connection to vehicle, connection failed

No special setup is required for the JLR Engineering Tools 

First, check the network adapter status

  • go to check the status of the network adapter

Interface Metric:1

  • Check Advanced TCP/IP settings -> Interface Metric:1 and save.
When you have JLR Enet or JLR DOIP or regular Enet cable connected, right-click the Ethernet adapter, and you can check the “status” and figure out the communication status between the car and the laptop LAN port (check only the LAN network adapter status, not Virtual Ethernet LAN, in some cases, if you’re using VPN Ethernet, you have to disable it in case of any conflicts.

Interface Metric

  • If you’re using the JLR DOIP interface to work with JET software, you must have Pathfinder software communicate with JLR DOIP 1st, then simultaneously use our Jet-Pro to connect
In some cases, if you’re using a hotpot wifi connection, you can also setup the hotpot wifi “Interface metric: 2.”

Release Notes:

In the new update with JET Master/SX-Tool released on March 8th, 2024, the new installer created Tab 3 “find car” and “network adapter” which allows you to setup or check the system status before your license is activated.
