  • Lamps powered by circuit “B” (O_Demand_interior_lighting_1), glove box, front overhead console map left/right, 2nd row dimmable cantrail lamp left/right, vanity mirror left/right, tri colour ambient B pillar uplighter left/right, footwell ambient with white LED front/rear left/right, tri colour trinket tray illumination, tri colour ambient console front/rear left/right, tri colour ambient door release/armrest/bin front/rear left/right. NOTE:

This DTC is set when one or more short circuits have been detected. The relevant output circuits have been disabled to protect the body control module from permanent damage

  • Body control module output circuit short circuit to ground, short circuit to power

NOTE:

To validate the repair run the engine and check the function of the previously non-functional equipment, for at least 30 seconds (where possible), then use the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment to check that the DTCs are no longer logged

  • Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, check for other short circuit to ground/power related DTCs and perform the relevant corrective actions. To re-enable the output circuits, using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, perform the routine – Enable Protected Outputs (205E). The routine can be located on the diagnostic equipment within “BCM – ECU functions”
